Nowdays, a cafe is not just a cafe. Its an office. Lap tops, lamps, pencil cases and adaptors are part of the Latte Meciatto expirience.
So the best five around Jerusalem are:
1. Arcaffe on Hillel st. Large space. a lot of light, good food and the layout of the tabels and the ratio of sockets is stasfying. wifi.
2. Cup Of Joe on Keren Hayasod. All above. sat there for ten hours once. They have a shakshuka on the menu, if you are interested. wifi.
3. Cafe Hillel on Emek. Not many sockets and slightly dark but not many distractions. good new healthy salads, though too much lettuce. wifi
4. The Coffee Mill offers the best coffee and atmosphere. Yet too crowded and its my local so I cannot really consetrate, to busy to see who is walking in. Also it doesnt seem fare to sit there a whole day.(and there is a guy that sits there a lot, and I went out with him on a blind date. I didnt recognise him first time I saw him there after that misrable litle date, and now its too late even to just nod politly)wifi is flaky.
5. Cafe Smadar - many sockets, great atmosphere, no Kashrut certificate so I just had tea there, still a good space. wifi.
So now the whole blogsphere knows where I hang out to write my papers. no secrets here.
p.s. wifi is free!
